Wingassistant

Tasked with creating a compelling 30-second promotional video for YouTube and social media, WingAssistant sought to showcase their customer service platform in a dynamic and engaging manner.

To achieve this, we developed a custom motion graphics solution utilizing frame-by-frame 2D animation. This approach allowed us to deliver a visually striking and memorable video that effectively communicated the unique benefits of WingAssistant.

Just another day at the desk

The narrative unfolds through a typical day in the life of a busy business manager, immersed in a series of stressful tasks: calls, emails, reports, surveys, and complaints. We designed shots to effectively portray this frustration until the arrival of Wing, who resolves everything with just a few clicks. The video’s climax marks the transition from chaos to calm, highlighting how WingAssistant can simplify the workday.

Styleframes and Visual Development

To develop the visual style, we constructed a bold and dynamic color palette designed to make the video stand out. We focused on using light and shadow to evoke emotions and create a sense of depth within the scenes. By integrating textures and dithering effects, we achieved a distinctive aesthetic that combines contemporary design with a nostalgic feel, ensuring a consistent visual identity throughout the video.

Animation

We centered the video around the concept of a checkmark. When the little Wing character enters the scene, everything is magically “checked” and completed, creating a sense of organizational magic. The bird is animated with fluid movements, guiding the viewer’s eye from initial chaos to final order

The animation is a blend of After Effects motion graphics and traditional 2D animation. Key elements, such as the main character and “Wing” the bird, were animated frame by frame to provide greater fluidity and life to the video.

Striking a balance between visual simplicity and narrative clarity presented a unique challenge during production. By carefully optimizing animation timing and detail, we created a video that is both visually appealing and easy to follow. The result is a linear video with a clear sequence of events and transitions that effectively convey the message.

Early explorations

Our initial exploration focused on developing a visual style that would resonate with WingAssistant’s target audience: young, ambitious entrepreneurs. We experimented with bold colors and exaggerated perspectives to create a dynamic and engaging look. By developing distinct character sheets, we were able to capture the frenetic pace of their daily lives and the need for efficient solutions. The final design strikes the perfect balance between energy and clarity.
